Building Programs That Actually Work

about lauren dewey

I'm a learning specialist who helps established entrepreneurs scale their expertise without sacrificing educational integrity. My work combines a decade of academic experience with a curriculum-first approach that prioritizes outcomes over optics, so you can build a body of work that respects your expertise.

My Approach

and how i tackle your expertise

Most people focus on marketing before they focus on curriculum. I do the opposite.

When you start with proper learning theory - rooted in cognitive science, adult learning theory, and evidence-based design - you create programs that actually deliver results. This means higher completion rates, stronger outcomes, and clients who become ambassadors for your work.

I've worked with entrepreneurs across industries: coaches, healthcare companies, nonprofits, universities, and service providers. The common thread isn't the industry - it's a commitment to building something worth selling.

My work falls into two areas:

Curriculum development consulting for organizations and entrepreneurs who need scalable programs built right.

Executive coaching for building your business through clarity, intentional design, and a thinking partner who's been there.

What Resonates?

when we work together

I care deeply about the work we create together, which means I ask hard questions and push back when something won't serve your goals. My clients tell me they appreciate this—they're looking for a strategic partner who's genuinely invested in their success, not someone who just nods along.

I work best with people who value educational integrity over quick wins, who are willing to invest in building real infrastructure (not just more content), and who want sustainable scaling that aligns with their values.

If you already have proven expertise and revenue, and you're ready to grow in a way that feels aligned—let's talk.

Things I'm into:
  • Running marathons (six down), Ironman triathlons (two completed), and multipitch climbing in Banff
  • Renovating my house with far more enthusiasm than expertise
  • Being the cool aunt who shows up with good gifts and zero parenting advice
  • Hot coffee in ceramic mugs, red wine, and brown liquor (in that order of frequency)
  • Reading at an unreasonable pace (I go through books like some people go through podcasts)
  • Owning too many bikes and having zero regrets about it
  • The fact that planes should remain wifi-free zones (this is a hill I will die on)

Things I care about:
  • I'm deeply committed to equity, inclusion, and social justice - because education is fundamentally shaped by lived experience, and better learning happens when we center diverse perspectives.
  • I believe our work should contribute to building a more just world. If you don't share this commitment, we're not a fit.

Ways To Work with Me

Expert-led curriculum development with complete implementation support for established professionals ready to transform their expertise into a signature course. Lauren handles the strategic curriculum design by applying adult learning principles and evidence-based frameworks so you get a professional-grade program that maintains your standards while giving you the freedom to scale.

You've built something successful and you know you're capable of more. You're just carrying too many visions at once... and somewhere in the middle of all those possibilities, clarity got lost. Lauren applies the same curriculum development frameworks she uses to build programs to help you build your business: strategic, evidence-based, and designed around what you actually want.
